Guitar, Violin & Cello Lutherie Repairs

AZG Musical Inc, located in Brooklyn NY, specializes in repairs and set-ups on violins and guitars at reasonable prices. We are available at off hours by special appointment. If a customer has an after-hours emergency, we try very hard to accommodate.

For Violins:

· Tuning pegs[$75/set, $20/each] / End-Pins are made[$20] or adjusted to fit properly for smooth operation and ease of tuning.

· Existing sound posts adjustment for best tonal properties and sound.[$25]

· Sound post replacement using hand selected aged spruce.[$65]

· Bridges are hand carved, fitted, tuned and adjusted to obtain proper action feel and playability.[$60]

· Structural Repairs, cracks[$15/in], separated seams(top, back, & sides)[$5/in.$25 min], broken peg box, fingerboard. All work done using hide glue.

· Overall evaluation & setup [$85] to include nut & bridge work, restring (string cost additional).

· Bow Rehair [$75].

· Other violin lutherie is also available.[$60/hr]

For Cellos:

· Tuning pegs-new [$100/set, $30/each]

· Tuning pegs-maintenance [$40/set, $10/each];Peg box and pegs are reshaped and lubricated to fit properly for smooth operation and ease of tuning.

· Existing sound posts adjustment for best tonal properties and sound.[$35]

· Sound post replacement using hand selected aged spruce.[$100]

· Bridges are hand carved, fitted, tuned and adjusted to obtain proper action feel and playability.[$90] (Aubert=[$115])

· Structural Repairs, cracks[$15/in], separated seams(top, back, & sides)[$9/in.$25 min], broken peg box, fingerboard. All work done using hide glue.

· Bow Rehair [$85].

· Other cello lutherie is also available.[$60/hr]

For Guitars:

· Tuning Machines replacement and adjustment [$=labor plus parts].

· Nuts & Saddles refinements and replacement, hand carved & radiused to match fretboard radius, available in bone and plastic.

· Replace nut(bone) [$70].

· Replace saddle(bone) [$65].

· Fret work: level & crown[$85], refrets (partial[$15/fret] or total[$300]). Includes neck adjustments.

· Bridge reglue and replacement[$75-$150].

· Broken-Headstock repair with touch up[$150].

· Crack repairs of top, back and side [$35 minimum].

· Neck adjustment and straightening[$35-$50].

· Setup of acoustic guitars (includes neck adjustment, restring, nut and saddle adjustments) [$65-$85].

· Restring of classical guitars.[$35 strings included]

· Other guitar lutherie (repair) is also available.[$60/hr]

Misc. Fees:

· Evaluation Bench fee: Subject to a $35 charge if no work done.

Our violin and guitar shop provides Brooklyn pickup and delivery upon request. We do our violin/cello repairs as well as guitar repairs in house by trained luthiers.
